If you ever want to back up or transfer your Sims 4 saves, you'll need to know where they're located on your computer. The game offers a number of DLCs, such as ‘fitness stuff’, ‘cats and dogs’ and Toddler stuff’, but Sims 4 itself has had over 30 million downloads by players. The game was developed by Maxis, also known for the development of the popular SimCity game, and was published by Electronic Arts. Like the other Sims games, it has received fairly good reviews from fans, with it being praised for its real to life simulation and Sim interactivity. Sims 4 is most famously know for its gameplay on Microsoft Windows, however, it is also available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Macintosh operating systems. Players can build up to the creation an entire Sim town, through not only the development of these houses, but also through designing public areas for their Sims to visits such as swimming pools and bars. They can then control the lives of their sims, ensuring that they have enough food, water and sleep to fulfill their needs, but also allow them to take part in miscellaneous activities such as dancing, playing video games and exercise. The game provides players with the ability to create ‘sims’ families, with updated features, and either put these into a pre-created house, or design and build their houses from scratch. If there isn't, remove the files until there's an update.Sims 4 is the latest edition in the Sims series, following the success of its predecessors, and was released on 2nd September 2014. If there is, download it, and replace the original files. When a mod breaks then you will need to check where you got it from to see if there's a new version. Unlike the game itself, mods don't automatically update. Follow the instructions above to enable them again. This is because there's a risk that a mod isn't compatible with the latest version of the game. Mods and CC are usually disabled after The Sims 4 updates. If your lots use custom content, ensure that Include Custom Content is ticked on the left.
To find these, click the gallery icon (photo album) in the top-right and click My Library. You don't need to do this for any lots you download.
If you don't want to see this, untick Show At Startup. You will need to restart the game for the changes to take effect.Ī Mods panel will then open when you launch the game, listing which mods are enabled. Here, tick Enable Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed.
